Secufor is a French publisher of security software, built to run on the machines of the people who use it. Our customers are organisations that answer to someone else for the data they hold — the GDPR, the NIS2 directive, a client, an insurer.
Our principle fits in one sentence: what a program guarantees should be observable by whoever runs it, rather than taken on its publisher's word. Every licence we issue carries a cryptographic signature, and the software checks it without asking anything of our servers; obtaining and renewing it, on the other hand, go over the internet, if you allow it, or through the licence file you install by hand. The Windows installer is signed and timestamped in our name.
We offer few programs, and we test them for a long time. Every release goes through a series of automated checks before it ships, and we do not deliver a feature we would not know how to troubleshoot: a fix is worth more than a novelty. When you write to us, your message reaches someone who knows the code, and what our customers ask for decides a good part of what we build next.
